Breast Cancer Among Different Ethnicities (A Single Institution Study)

Objective: To study the socio-demographic factors, medical history, histological type, hormonal status with different ethnic groups of Pakistani breast cancer patients.
 Study Design: Cross-sectional analytical study.
 Place and Duration Study: Medical Oncology Department Jinnah Postgraduate Centre, Karachi Pakistan, from Aug -Nov 2019.
 Methodology: Two hundred female patients aged 20-50 years histopathologically confirmed visited OPD for treatment or were admitted to ward. The information regarding socio-demographics was noted in pre-designed proforma. Divisions such as Muhajir (Urdu speaking), Sindhi, Balochi, Punjabi Pathan created analyse frequency within classes Pakistan. SPSS version 23 used data.
 Results: Out 200 carcinoma, 94 females Urdu speaking (47%), 39 Sindhi (19%), 25 (12%), 13 (7%), seven Baloch (4%), 22 (11%) belonged minority groups. results showed a significant association ethnicity family history (p=0.053), residence (p=0.001) employment (p=0.010).
